Paula is a qualified and Reflexologist and Massage Therapist. Her Certificate is from the International Institute of Reflexology (IIR International Institute of Reflexology ), the only school licensed to teach the Original Ingham Method ® www.reflexology-uk.net and since qualifying in January 2009 she has gone on to pursue her passion for this therapy with post graduate training courses and seminars.

People come to see Paula for reflexology for numerous reasons, some for relaxation and ‘me-time’ and others for support with physical or emotional needs. Reflexology works from the inside-out, instead of the outside-in through the 7300 nerve endings everyone has on each foot and the meridians that begin and end in our hands and feet, treating the individual on every level. Generally, after a treatment you may feel relaxed, potentially sleep better, noticing a feeling of improved mood and well-being. Other health benefits will be on an individual basis as reflexology is a holistic treatment. Paula has trained in a unique discipline called Limbic Reflexology which has been developed by Hamish Edgar since 2011 when he discovered an unfamiliar reflex to an extremely effective technique used by reflexologists nationally and internationally. Through this revolutionary breakthrough new limbic brain reflexes in the feet are worked to restore the body back to its homeostatic norms and whilst the course particularly focused on stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD and chronic pain Limbic Reflexology enhances any conventional treatment.
Paula was first introduced to reflexology needing support for PMT. The treatments she received greatly improved her hormonal imbalances and she later went on to change her office career to complementary therapy. Paula also worked as an adult tutor for the Council for five years teaching complementary therapy courses and workshops and she offers to show her clients a range of self help techniques they can use to supplement their treatments if they wish. People often experience a sense of calm, peace and comfort in Paula’s hands leaving them feeling both nourished and nurtured, she has a truly holistic approach for mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. Her client base are all ages, young children and teenagers, expectant mums, male and female and the older person, she is non-judgemental, respectful and sensitive offering support whether it be through a stressful period in life or for ongoing health.
Paula practices in South Edinburgh and from her home in Midlothian (Times see below).
She is also available for mobile appoints in these areas, plus West Linton and Peebles (reflexology only.)
